MyGeniusLane Family

Using the app on your iPhone

MyGeniusLane Family is on the App Store in India. Here is how to install it, sign in, and find your way around.

On your iPhone: tap the button to open MyGeniusLane Family on the App Store.
On a computer: scan the code with your iPhone’s camera.

Open on the App Store (India)

UK centres: the iPhone app is not available in the UK yet. Android is available now on Google Play.

Step by step

Install and sign in

It takes a couple of minutes, and there is no password to set or remember. Before you start, have the email address your centre has for you to hand.

  1. Install. Open the App Store link above and tap Get. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple password, as you would for any free app.
  2. Open the app. Find MyGeniusLane Family on your home screen and tap it.
  3. Enter your email. Type the email address your centre has for you and tap Send me a code.
  4. Type in the code. A 6-digit code arrives by email. Enter it in the Login code box and tap Sign in. If it does not arrive, tap Send another code; if you used the wrong address, tap Use a different email.
  5. Allow notifications if your iPhone asks, so the app can tell you when something new arrives from your centre.
  6. Your child is already there. Your clinician set your family up as part of your child’s programme, so the plan, reports and appointments are waiting.

Home

Opens on the one next step that matters for your family this week, with quick links to the rest.

My Child

Everything about your child's care: appointments, reports, the care plan, recommended videos, understanding the diagnosis, to-dos, the weekly check-in, uploading documents, payments and video calls.

Messages

Write to your centre securely. It reaches the care team, and their reply comes back here.

Assistant

Ask everyday questions about your child's plan, at any hour. It is AI, labelled as such, and never makes a clinical decision.

Everyday use

Getting the most from it

  1. Start with Home. It shows the next step chosen for your family, so you do not have to work out where to begin.
  2. Read a new report in My Child → Reports. Reports reach you once your clinician has released them. Understanding the diagnosis sits alongside, in plain language.
  3. Use the care plan and recommended videos at home. They are chosen for the stage your child is working at, and short enough to fit into a normal day.
  4. Do the weekly check-in. A few quick questions that keep your clinician up to date between appointments.
  5. Ask, any time. The Assistant answers practical questions about the plan. Anything clinical goes to your care team through Messages.
  6. Send documents through the Upload Centre in My Child — a school report or a letter — instead of email.

More about what the app does, with screenshots, is on the MyGeniusLane page.

Questions

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 16 or later. The App Store will tell you if your phone is too old to install it.

No code has arrived. What do I do?

Wait a minute and check your spam or junk folder. Make sure you typed the email address your centre has for you, not another one. Then tap “Send another code”. If it still does not come, email support@geniuslane.org and we will sort it.

I signed in but my child is not there.

Your clinician links your child to your account as part of their programme. If you signed in with a different email from the one your centre holds, sign out from the More tab and sign in again with that one. Otherwise contact your centre and they will link you.

We are with a UK centre. Can we use the iPhone app?

Not yet. The iPhone app currently serves families of our centres in India. UK families can use MyGeniusLane Family on Android now. Please do not use the India app with a UK account: it reads the Indian records, so your child will not appear.

Is it free?

The app is free. Clinical services are billed as they always have been, and you can pay for them in the app if you prefer.

Is it for emergencies?

No. If your child needs urgent help, contact your local emergency services.

Stuck? Email support@geniuslane.org and we will help.
