What a Geniuslane programme actually looks like

6 November 2026

Parents ask what they are actually buying. It is a fair question and the answer at most places is vague, so here is ours.

It starts with finding out

A doctor-led assessment that produces a diagnosis, a written baseline, and a plan — described in the piece on why we assess first. Nothing begins before this.

Then we teach you

This is the part that is different, and it is deliberate. You have your child for every waking hour we do not. A programme that lives only inside our sessions is competing with the rest of the week and will lose.

So the strategies are taught to you: what to do, why it works for your child at this point, what it should look like when it is working, and when to change it. Not a handout — taught, practised, and revisited as your child moves.

And you are not left alone between appointments

The hard moments do not arrive during office hours. They arrive at bedtime, in a supermarket, at a family function where everyone has an opinion.

Sprout is our family assistant inside the Geniuslane app. It knows your child — their diagnosis, where they are working, the plan that was agreed — so the answer you get is about your child rather than about children in general. It works in twelve languages including Hindi, so the whole family can follow the plan, not only whoever speaks the best English. Your child’s reports and the diagnosis guides work in those languages too.

What it will not do is improvise clinical advice. The guidance it gives is Dr Rahul Bharat’s, and when something needs a clinician it says so and routes it to us. An assistant that invented reassurance at eleven at night would be worse than none.

Then we check, on a date set in advance

Progress is reviewed against the baseline we wrote at the start, at a point agreed before the programme began. If something is not working we change it, and we tell you that it was not working. This is the discipline that makes the rest of it meaningful.

Why families stay

Not because we promise an outcome. No honest clinician can. Families stay because they can tell you what is being worked on, why, and what has changed — and because somebody answered on a Wednesday night when it was difficult.

Dr Rahul Bharat leads the clinical work at every centre. One practice, not a franchise.
